Proposed Agenda

The proposed agenda can be found in document WT/GC/W/669 and contains the following items:

1. Report by the Chairman of the Trade Negotiations Committee

This is a standing item on the agenda. The Director-General will report, in his capacity as Chairman of the Trade Negotiations Committee, on activities in this area since his last report to the Council.

2. Work Programme on Small Economies  — Report by the Chairman of the Dedicated Session of the Committee on Trade and Development

Under this standing item, the Chairperson of the Dedicated Session of the Committee on Trade and Development will report on the progress of work in the Work Programme on Small Economies.

3. Improving the Guidelines for Granting Observer Status to Intergovernmental Organizations in the WTO — Communication from the Arab Group (WT/GC/W/654)

Under this agenda item, the Chairman will update the Council on the consultations on this matter.

4. Ninth Session of the Ministerial Conference

Under this agenda item, the General Council will consider some administrative matters for the Ninth Ministerial Conference, namely:

(a) Election of Officers

(b) Attendance of Observers from Governments and International Intergovernmental Organizations

(c) Attendance of Non-Governmental Organizations

5. Committee on Budget, Finance and Administration

The Chairman of the Budget Committee will introduce the Committee's report on its meeting in March (WT/BFA/136), and seek the Council's approval of the specific recommendations contained therein.

6. WTO Pension Plan Management Board — Election of two members — Proposal by the Chairman of the General Council

The Council will be invited to elect two members to the Management Board of the WTO Pension Plan until the end of its term, as per the Chairman's proposal in WT/GC/W668 and Corr.1.
