This non-exhaustive list has been compiled by the WTO Secretariat from official sources. It represents an informal situation report and an attempt to provide transparency with respect to measures related to intellectual property rights (IPRs) taken in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. For detailed information regarding each measure, please visit the respective official source.

The list has no official or legal status in the form it is published here. Listing of the measures does not affect the rights and obligations of members, nor does it imply that such measures are subject to TRIPS-related notification or reporting mechanisms including, but not limited to, the notification requirement in Article 63.2.

In accordance with the long-standing practice of the WTO Trade Monitoring Exercise of verifying information and measures with members, the WTO Secretariat is seeking confirmation of those measures listed in the table that are yet to be verified by members. For this purpose, individual emails will be sent to relevant members. Measures that have been verified are also available on the WTO public website.

Members are encouraged to promptly provide updated information on these and other measures as appropriate, including through notifications to the Council for TRIPS. The table will be updated regularly and verification will be sought throughout this process.
