Services trade content on the WTO website

The WTO website (www.wto.org) is available in English, French and Spanish and provides the best opportunity to keep up to date with developments in Services. There are four main sections of the WTO website where you will find information on services trade. They are on the navigation menu on the top right hand corner of each page.

  1. Trade Topics 
  2. Selecting Trade Topics will take you to a page with a menu that includes:

    1. Services Gateway page
    2. This section provides basic information on the GATS, the text of the GATS including schedules of commitments and MFN exemptions, sectoral papers, the list of contact and inquiry points, and much more.

    3. Services negotiations
    4. This section provides information on the negotiations underway with a list of the proposals submitted by WTO Members.

  3. Resources 
  4. Selecting Resources will take you to a menu where you can find services trade statistics, and economic analyses.

  5. Latest News
  6. Here you will find the schedule of meetings and news releases on the latest developments concerning the GATS and trade in services.

  7. Documents 
  8. By selecting “Search for and download official WTO documents” on this page you will be taken to the Documents database, which contains over 150,000 WTO documents, including many on Services. Here you can use the SEARCH engine to find the latest minutes of the GATS Council and various Services sub-committees.

  9. Register
  10. You can register to receive regular e-mail updates on Services and other WTO topics. Start by selecting REGISTER in the top right-hand corner of the WTO website, and follow the instructions on the screen.
