Each one-page summary comprises three sections: the core facts; the key findings contained in the reports; and, where relevant, other matters of particular significance. The disputes are presented in chronological order (by dispute settlement number). Two indexes at the end of the publication list the disputes by WTO agreement and by WTO member responding to the complaint.

The additional case summaries provided in this 2019 edition “illustrate the active recourse of WTO members to resolve their disputes through the WTO Dispute Settlement Understanding,” noted John Adank, the Director of the WTO's Legal Affairs Division, in a foreword to the publication.  “The nearly 200,000 downloads of the One-Page Summaries from the WTO’s website in 2018 demonstrate that the summaries continue to be a useful tool for students, practitioners and researchers of the WTO system.”
