Luxembourg donates 250,000 euros to the Doha Fund

Luxembourg has donated EUR 250,000 to the Doha Development Agenda Global Trust Fund (DDAGTF), a contribution that will be used for the implementation of the activities included in the Technical Assistance and Training Plan.

“I thank Luxembourg for this contribution that will be important for enhancing Least-Developed Countries’ participation in the Doha Round of negotiations through technical assistance. This is an essential tool to train developing countries’ representatives to participate more efficiently in the Multilateral Trading System”, said WTO Director-General, Mr. Pascal Lamy.

This last contribution brings the total amount donated by Luxembourg to the DDAGTF since its creation to more than EUR 500,000. The Doha Development Agenda Global Trust Fund was created following the WTO Ministerial Conference in Doha, in November 2001, which launched a new round of negotiations.
