Proposed Agenda

The Proposed Agenda can be found in document WT/GC/W/698 and contains the following items:

1. Launch of the logo of the Tenth Session of the Ministerial Conference — Statement by the Director-General

The Director-General will launch the logo of MC10.

2. Report by the Chairman of the Trade Negotiations Committee

This is a standing Item on the Agenda.  The Director-General will report, in his capacity as Chairman of the TNC, on activities in this area since his last report to the Council in February 2015.

 

3. Implementation of the Bali Outcomes — Statement by the Chairman

The General Council Chairman will provide an update on the implementation work concerning the Bali Decisions in the respective Councils and Committees.

4. Work Programme on Small Economies — Report by the Chairman of the Dedicated Session of the Committee on Trade and Development

Under this standing Item, the Chairman of the CTD will provide a report on the progress in the Work Programme on Small Economies.

5. Tenth Session of the Ministerial Conference

Under this agenda item the General Council will consider some administrative matters for MC10, namely:

1. Election of officers
2. Attendance of observers from governments and international intergovernmental organizations
3. Attendance of non-governmental organizations
4. Progress report on logistical preparations — statement by the chairman of the MC10 task force

6. Waivers under Article IX of the WTO Agreement

1. United States — Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (CBERA as amended) — Draft Decision (G/C/W/708)

Pursuant to Article IX:3(b) of the Marrakesh Agreement, the Chairman of the Goods Council will report on the Goods Council's consideration of this matter.

7. Improving the Guidelines for Granting Intergovernmental Organizations Permanent Observer Status in the WTO — Statement by the Chairman

The General Council Chairman will provide an update on this matter.

8. Committee on Budget, Finance and Administration-Report on the meeting of March 2015

The Chairman of the Budget Committee will introduce the Committee's report on its meeting in March (WT/BFA/148), and the Council is expected to adopt the report.

9. WTO Pension Plan Management Board — Election of the Chairman

he Council will be invited to elect the Chairman to the Management Board of the WTO Pension Plan, as per Chairman's proposal in WT/GC/W697.
