Information session on COVID-19 and cotton

Concept note

The objective of this information session, organized at the request of the C-4 countries, was to provide Members with an up-to-date factual overview of the impact of the COVID-19 crisis at global and local levels and the resulting challenges for the cotton sector. Experts from ICAC and other organizations, cotton producing countries and the private sector have beeninvited to contribute. The information session also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on possible solutions to address the short, medium and long-term consequences of the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, especially for the most vulnerable cotton producing countries.
