WTO Members and stakeholders will discuss regulatory cooperation with a view to ensuring that MSMEs (especially in developing Members) can access information to enhance participation in international trade and overcome obstacles posed by conformity assessment procedures.
Preliminary Guiding Questions
- What are the key challenges MSMEs face in accessing information on standards and regulations?
- What good practices, services, digital tools are available for MSMEs to find out about product requirements and related procedures in (potential) export markets?
- How are MSME perspectives and needs taken into account in developing technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures?
- How can MSMEs be supported further in accessing information on and complying with product requirements?
