The new dashboards allow users to find detailed information on how technical assistance programmes are being implemented.  The data includes the level of training provided, the language in which the course is undertaken, its duration, the objectives of the course, the nationality of participants and the gender breakdown. The dashboards can be accessed here.

A complementary database, the WTO's Technical Assistance Management System (TAMS), lists upcoming WTO technical assistance and capacity-building activities. This database has recently been extended to allow developing countries and least-developed countries (LDCs) to submit requests to the WTO for such activities.

Deputy Director-General Yonov Frederick Agah, who oversees development matters in the WTO, said: “The WTO Secretariat is pleased to make available to WTO members and the public comprehensive information on WTO technical assistance and training activities. The information will help to raise awareness of how these programmes are implemented.”

The technical assistance activities are funded by WTO members' voluntary contributions to the DDA Global Trust Fund. More information can be found here.

Mikael Anzén, the WTO Ambassador of Sweden, the fund's main donor, said: “As the fund's principal donor, Sweden welcomes the new dashboards, which will improve the visibility of the WTO's technical assistance programmes. These new tools will allow users to follow in real time the progress in implementing the WTO's Technical Assistance and Training Plan.”
