Trade-led development in an interdependent world: policy implications for governments and for the WTO
Virtual 13/07/2022 - 14h30
This event is broad-based discussion on how, in a rapidly changing landscape of risks and opportunities, countries can use trade to foster prosperity and reduce poverty, and how the WTO can best support these efforts. During this interactive session, speakers will address the following issues: Is the trade-led growth and development model under threat? What are the opportunities and challenges of participating in global value chains and how must trade policies change to reap the full benefits of trade? What is the role of international trade co-operation in a rapidly changing and increasingly complex global trade landscape?
