Consultations

Complaint by Mexico.

On 5 December 1995, Mexico requested consultations with Venezuela regarding its anti-dumping investigation in respect of certain oil country tubular goods from Mexico.  Mexico claimed that the investigation was inconsistent with Articles 1, 3, 4, 5 6, 12 and 16 of the Anti-Dumping Agreement and Article VI of the GATT 1994.

Withdrawal/termination

On 6 May 1997, Mexico informed the DSB that they considered that the consultations were unnecessary in view of the fact that the competent authorities of Venezuela had decided to close the investigation in question.
