GENERAL TERMS OF SALE

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible.

Orders

Making a purchase online could not be easier. Just search or browse the categories of our online bookshop and select the items that you wish to purchase by simply clicking on the shopping cart icon or "add to caddie" link. When your selection is completed, click on the "Order" link and you will be asked for additional information that we need to fulfil your request.

If you have not yet opened an account you will be instructed to register as a new customer after you have entered your e-mail address when you either select “Login” from the top menu bar or if you select “View Basket”. You only have to register once to be able to login during future visits with your personal password and username. A separate account is necessary for each e-mail address.

The WTO Online Bookshop is a service provided by WTO Publications, a division of the WTO’s Information and External Relations Division. Your orders will be fulfilled, under WTO Publications' responsibility, by Turpin Distribution Ltd, Biggleswade, UK.

Prices and Discounts

All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs and prices are subject to change without notice. Shipping and handling fee are added to each order. In the case of online orders, the total amount due is displayed before the credit card transaction; no extra costs are to be charged.

Discounts are available to wholesalers, retailers and agents. Please contact Turpin Distribution Ltd for more information.

Prices do not include international duties, brokerage fees or taxes, which may be applicable to your shipment by the national customs authorities. Such duties or taxes may form a separate charge payable directly to the courier upon receipt of the package.

Shipping and Handling

World Trade Organization Publications e-commerce store ships orders worldwide. All orders are processed through Turpin Distribution Services, our UK based global warehousing and fulfilment partner. If you live outside the United Kingdom you may be able to save money and receive your order sooner if you contact one of our international distributors.

Cost of shipping is based on package weight, dimensions and handling costs. Electronic versions of publications offered in digital format and online services do not incur shipping and handling charges.

Working days are Monday through Friday. We are closed on most EU holidays. If you need something urgently, please contact our Bookshop in Geneva or Turpin Distribution Services.

For delivery within UK:

Shipping is handled by non-registered mail, with delivery within 5 working days following the date of despatch.

For delivery outside of UK:

Shipping is handled by non-registered mail or a courier service. Expect delivery within 20 working days following the date of despatch.

Payment

To order titles online, you will need a valid credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Credit card information

No information referring to your credit card is stored in the profile; banking details are used solely for secure online payment. The payment transaction is operated via a secured payment provider.

The transaction is a payment reservation on your credit card. The transaction is only validated upon availability of items and shipment.

Returns Policy

Returns are not permitted for items purchased directly from the World Trade Organization or its online bookshop. Transactions are concluded on a firm sales basis only with no right of return.

Returns are authorized when orders are placed through our worldwide network of Distributors. Please contact them directly for pricing and conditions.

Cancellations and Claims

To amend or cancel a completed online order, please contact Sales Department via the WTO Online Bookshop digital contact form within the day of the purchase.

Claims are honoured within 30 days from the date of invoice. All claims must be submitted with your purchase order confirmation number and/or our invoice number via the WTO Online Bookshop digital contact form.

Disputes

The courts of Geneva, Switzerland, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from WTO publications sales.
